During the last days it became more and more disturbing, in my opinion.
Almost every topic is filled with senseless off topic, many threads are full of private conversation and it's really annoying for many users to to see which topics are worth looking at and which are full of spam.
A little bit spam is quite ok but this outnumbers the maximum, I think.
For the sake of this board I ask everyone - not excepting myself - to reduce topics and answers which include things that aren't interesting for all other user's.
For private converation this board has got the nice 'private message' function.
It's not that I want to critizice anyone here in person, that was just something on my mind and maybe some other users agree with that.

hmm...well, yes, i agree there is quite a bit of 'spam' as you call it and some private conversations, but i would like to offer a bit of justification for that (yes, i'm aware of being one of the culprits).

justification: during the first few days when the board was up, i tried to do private messages to people, yourself included Eol - nobody got the messages, to my knowledge. i assumed that function was, for some reason, not working. hence the messages with some more personal convos, and the threads like "@Dizzy" and "@Eos". scrabblesquirrel returned from italy today, and we sat on the phone trying to work out the private message function, and we've finally gotten it to work for us. in case any of the rest of you are having problems with it like i was, if someone sends you a PM, you should get a message at your e-mail address notifying you that a PM has arrived, and at the top of the board, under the "Entwine messageboard" banner, it should tell you if you have messages.

i really enjoy coming to post on this board, i don't want anyone to be upset. are we all okay?

Usually if it's really about private stuff (phonenumbers or something) I use pms. But for example for that signature thing or albinoni's thread about the digicam, it might be interesting for other people as well.. or the grammar thing.. if I was Dizzy I wouldn't only pm me but also I would like to hear other people's opinion (especially since I'm not the grammar expert either).. but it's true, that the threads get "off topic" quite soon. As well I think that mostly we returned to the topic's basic..?
Sure, we could start to post a new topic for every change of subject but then it would end up that you would have two pages of unread topic and that sucks (check the Finntroll board, off topic, if you wanna know what I mean).
I suppose that the off topic part of the board is to get to know the other Entwine fans a bit better.. and the best way to do that is to talk... and as in every conversation you start to babble about other things *g*.
I don't mean to be offensive or anything. It's just that either you're talking with eachother and get off topic sometimes or you do a board with only band topics which often leads to a dead board. But sure, we could try to controll the babbling a bit

That is the section other things so there would be total freedom of speaking, every guy could write as much as he/she wants to,it's certain that wouldn't be a very nice thing if someone came here and would say "sheig heil" or "i wanna kill all the niggers" or "dux, mea, lux" or "stalin rulez" and so on.........but also in that case i would give them freedom of speach, ideals are different we are all different people.
The real life is that.
In the forum ComoMetal 90% of the users are nazi-racists and so on,i am not and i remarked that, i haven't be banned,it is also full of gossips about the same users.....a worst hell..is that forum but i have hopes that will change in the future ........

At the end the poeple built the forums so the more you write that most we could understand you and what do you want

Spam is more ralated to e-mails and advertising in my opinion Very Happy

It would be boring if people start to say only how Entwine are cool or the always abused gothic trend about how shtty is life in general

i do enjoy most of the 'spam' though - i've gotten to know some of you so much better! and if there is stuff in a topic i'm not really interested in, i have these really cool things called 'scroll buttons'. heehee.

however, if i do have something to say that concerns only one of you, i will PM, but only if you guys promise to check your PMs!!!

as for babbling...you're right Eos, i can't think of a single conversation i've ever had with friends that didn't get off topic! heehee...but controlled babbling, okay!

grammar: i was hoping Eol would get in on that - you speak german! i need grammar help! but Eos has been quite helpful!

I'm really starting to disslike that city.. I might be too sensitive on that topic but we're very straight about that subject in the Swiss Metal Forum. Racists are not welcomed there at all. Same with our gigs. Last year some guys thought they could sell albums of some shitty nazi-bands at a death metal festival here. First they were asked nicely to either put away the CDs or leave the area. They didn't do it so they got kicked out in an unpleasant way. We're not violent or political but we don't tolerate racism.

I hate my city too,and actually i have no friends in here,my mate is from a town outside Como fortunally......better alone than with ignorants and full of money retarded people
Funny that Mussolini was killed here, funny indeed and maybe their grandfather was killed because of the fascism, funny that nazis went here before the end of the war and rob out everithing they could; My grandfather because of the Fascism was obliged to made 10 years of war,He was in Russia,Albania,France.......and when he only listen to the word Nazism of Fascism he starts to cry,cry because those fuckers have stolen the best part of his life.......

I know what you mean.. My grandparents (father's parents) were both partisans which means pretty left sided *g*. Kind of guerillas in Yugoslawia during the Second WW.
But then my attitude has got nothing to do with that.. the swiss people and their way to treat different people learned me to dislike any kind of racism.........

i don't care if people get off topic, cos I read all the posts anyway. and does somebody choose which posts (s)he reads by topic? If i don't have time to read all the posts, i choose the most used. And I think that the off-topic talk is maybe nicer

i'm a really fast reader, i can get through all the posts pretty quickly. i'm really enjoying a lot of the off-topic stuff, i'm getting to know so many of you much better! since i'm not in school right now (we get 4 months of vacation in the summer), i don't have much to do but carry on my personal studies, so reading the board is usually the highlight of my day!
